What’s the role about?

As part of our Production Development department, you’ll be joining as our Trainee Product Developer who is responsible for supporting the Childrenswear team with managing the development process of our Childrenswear product by working closely with the design team to develop each category from initial concept through to finished product.

Who you are

  • You’ll have previous experience in a similar role within an office environment
  • Experience of the product lifecycle; from sketch to consumer is desirable
  • Organised and able to priotitise workload
  • Attention to detail and strong communication skills- both verbal and written
  • Reliable and focused
  • Self-motivated and team oriented

What you’ll be doing

  • Assisting in design pack hand over, update sample tracker with all relevant tech pack information/ sample requests
  • Sending priority list to suppliers each weak for delivery and request weekly update on deliveries
  • Under guidance of the Product Developer, cross source core fabrics across key routes, developing new fabric/trims based on key trends
  • Assisting in the development of new routes, sending our development samples for costing/ process information to enable supplier to understand the Reiss processes
  • Regularly check post for all areas and distribute as needed
  • Assisting with supplier management to ensure product is placed with the correct supplier
  • Keep sample tracker up to date and assist manager to ensure any queries on development are answered
  • Maintaining the product trackers and assist with Critical Path management
